Who the hell am I?

My Name is Rogers Gibson McLaughlin.  The “s” isn’t a typo, my Dad is a fanatic about the St Louis Cardinals so he named me after Rogers Hornsby and Bob Gibson.

I’m 29, a college graduate, and I hate my job(s).

Where did The Front Porch name come from?

Robert Earl Keen and Lyle Lovette wrote a song called the “The Front Porch Song” for Keen’s live album.  One of the verses goes like this:

This old porch is just a long time of waiting and forgetting
Remembering the coming back and not crying about the leaving
And remembering the falling down and the laughter of the curse of luck
From all those son’s of bitches who said we’d never get back up

I’ve always liked the way it sounds, and I think its going to be the theme for this blog, whatever that means.

Why did I start this blog?

I could lie and say I wanted to chronicle my life, but the truth is I get high a lot and need something to do while I watch “Family Guy”
